We implement best practices to ensure the footprint we leave on the world is a positive one. PICT secured Green Supply Chain Award in Container Terminal Operations Category for environment friendly business operations.
We undertake plantation activities at the terminal and in surrounding localities in which employees participate vigorously. The purpose of organizing green affairs is to drive sense of ownership among employees for the nature and environment. We undertook beach clean drive with employees from various departments participating in it. Beach and roads were cleaned, and plantation was also done in nearby parks.
PICT augments welfare and wellbeing by espousing organizations working to bring harmony in society. We donated an ambulance to Dar-ul-Sukun, home for special people, with an intention to add to their contribution and pool of efforts towards social upright. We firmly believe of cultivating spark and optimism in the communities prevailing around us. Special people are part of our societies and we, as cultured corporate citizen, owe to play our role for their wellbeing.
Volunteers from PICT visited Dar-ul-Sukun to spend time and spread joy with the physically and mentally challenged individuals under the care of the facility. The team interacted with the residents and joined them in routine work, listened their concerns, served them meals, and cheered them up with gifts. We continue to support religiously, with close coordination, such organizations in their mission to help physically challenged individuals.

We make regular donations to support welfare trust schools. We aspire to bridge the gap between academia and industry to equip students with knowledgeable insight helping them better set their career goals. In this perspective, PICT collaborated with University of Karachi and hosted an educational visit for its business students. Professionals from various departments of PICT gave them practical insight about corporate practices.

In collaboration with Indus Hospital, PICT organized an awareness session for the employees to unfold the harmful effects of using Pan and Gutka. Senior Consultant of the hospital spearheaded the session explaining the initial symptoms and possible remedies. The session proved to be a healthy event bringing in awareness against the addictive in discussion.
Healthcare representatives of the Indus Hospital also facilitated awareness session in conscious efforts of PICT to educate employees about the importance of donating blood. Blood donation not only helps patients in need of blood transfusion, but also the entire community. Employees from different departments volunteered to donate blood as part of the company's CSR efforts.
